All About Me

Live Electric or Acoustic Music For All Occasions

A little bit about

All About Me

All About Me is a quartet, consisting of guitarist Rich Rodarte, keyboardist Gregg Taylor and brothers Dave and Pat Duran as the rhythm section.  First formed as an acoustic trio 2004, All About Me migrated to a more traditional band, incorporating harmonies to create a full sound.  When Gregg was added in late 2010, the new sound of All About Me

Musical influences range from the singer-songwriters (CSN, Eagles), to high energy prog-rock (ELP, Genesis), to down home  funk (Little Feat, Bela Fleck) R & B, Soul and everything in between.

With an emphasis on catchy songs, vocal harmonies and terrible jokes, we offer something for everyone to enjoy!  Check out the song clips page for samples of our own songs, and a listing of artists whose music we cover.

Rich Rodarte, Guitar, vocals, harmonica

Rich was raised on a steady diet of folk rock by CSN, James Taylor, Eagles, among others.  His socially conscious songwriting reflects this influence as he views life today.  After years in the folk world, he’s gone electric and has amped it up since the birth of All About Me.

Gregg Taylor, Keyboards, vocals, harmonica

Gregg grew up listening to the soul and R & B music out of Motown, Memphis and New Orleans.  His keyboard style reflects that diverse background, and is a perfect fit for the sound of All About Me

Dave Duran, Bass guitar, acoustic guitar, vocals

Dave spent years touring with some of the greatest bands you never heard of, before retiring from the music world.  But he wasn’t through, and after several years with the acoustic duo Richard Dean (he wasn’t Richard or Dean), he decided it was time to rock again.  Playing with All About Me gives Dave a chance to do his best Victor Wooten imitation.

Pat Duran, Drums, Congas, Percussion, vocals

Pat has spent his musical career playing in the Western Suburbs of Chicago in the bar band scene.  His musical influences range from Elvin Jones and Joe Morello to Carl Palmer and Phil Collins (when he played drums).  Playing in All About Me provides the opportunity to incorporate all of those influences.  On a side note,  you can find Pat, musical trollop that he is, at various local open mics, sitting in and jamming with many of the great musicians of the area.
